*Note: For a brief time, I planned on ending the Madden Pick 'Ems. But the outcry prompted me to bring them back and eventually start Sports Bunny LIVE.*
I'm dispensing with the Madden style prose because it got very, very old.
But that doesn't mean I can't post pictures of him!
49ers (0-3) at Falcons (2-1) If the Falcons are a SB contender, they have to win this game. Good teams beat bad teams. If they go out on the field and pull a Green Bay, they'll show themselves to be nothing but pretenders. W
Bears (3-0) at Giants (1-2) This is a game the Giants absolutely need to win. I think they can. I think they will. W
Bengals (2-1) at Browns (0-3) Carson Palmer has thrown 8 dropped interceptions in the first three games of the season. When are they going to throw his brother in there and hope no one notices? W
Broncos (1-2) at Titans (2-1) The Broncos held the Colts to 1.8 YPC last week. It'll probably be more like 8.1 YPC this week. L
Cardinals (2-1) at Chargers (1-2) If it comes down to Phillip Rivers throwing a game winning touchdown or throwing a game losing temper tantrum, my money is on the latter. But it won't come to that this week. W
Colts (2-1) at Jaguars (1-2) If I were a betting man, I'd stay away from this game. The line is Indy -7.5, and the Jaguars are terrible. But they play the Colts close almost every time. Take a look at the margins of victory for Colts-Jags games in the last 5 years: 2, 4, 7, 2, 22, 3, 7, 27, 7 and 8. Two blowouts, everything else was less than 7.5. The Colts will win this, but I won't be surprised if it comes down to the 4th QTR. L
Jets (2-1) at Bills (0-3) Revis is still out, to my knowledge, but it won't matter. The Bills are as bad as the NFL has to offer this year. W *LOCK OF THE WEEK*
Lions (0-3) at Packers (2-1) The Packers are coming off an absurd loss on MNF. Poor game management and penalties killed their chances. The Lions will catch 'em with a surprise punch to the mouth! L *UPSET SPECIAL*
Panthers (0-3) at Saints (2-1) The Saints aren't great right now, but I'm not sure the Panthers remember where the end zone is. W
Ravens (2-1) at Steelers (3-0) This is a bad ass game and Joe Flacco needs this. The Steelers have the best defense in the NFL, and Ray Rice won't be going anywhere this week. It's all on Flacco's shoulders, and I don't think he can do it. I like the Steelers to win a close one, maybe in OT. Prove me wrong, Joe. L
Redskins (1-2) at Eagles (2-1) For the record, I like Vick, and I think dog fighting should be legal. I also like the Eagles in this game. But it will be interesting to see what sort of success McNabb has against his old team. I expect a shoot out. L
Seahawks (2-1) at Rams (1-2) Do the Rams carry some momentum from their win over the Chargers? Do the Rams carry momentum from their win over the Redskins? It's the irresistible force vs. the immovable object! Clash of the titans! Of champions! Of...I don't really care. W
Texans (2-1) at Raiders (1-2) W
Mon: Patriots (2-1) at Dolphins (2-1) If the same Dolphins defense that showed up against the Jets show up against the Patriots, it's going to be a crime scene. I don't think that will happen, and I think this will be a close game. The Patriots defense looks like one of the worst in the league, and I can see the Dolphins moving the ball up and down the field, and into the end zone, several times. L
Byes: Buccaneers (2-1), Chiefs (3-0), Cowboys (1-2), Vikings (1-2)
